I Used to Spend Sunday Nights Catching Up on Transactions. I Don't Anymore.

I closed over 40 deals last year as a solo agent with no TC. Here's what changed — and why your Sundays don't have to look like mine used to.

Sunday used to be the day I dreaded most.

Not because of family stuff — I love my Sundays. My husband Cy, my kids, church. That part was always good. What ruined it was what happened after dinner.

I'd open my laptop, pull up my spreadsheet, and spend two to three hours catching up on everything that slipped through the cracks during the week. Checking inspection deadlines. Making sure earnest money had actually been collected. Following up on prelim title orders I couldn't remember if I'd sent. Re-reading contracts to find dates I knew were in there somewhere.

I closed over 40 deals last year. Solo. No TC. Just me, my phone, and a spreadsheet that was one bad week away from costing me a deal.

The worst part? I was good at this. I'd been doing it for years. But "good at it" just meant I hadn't dropped the ball yet. The anxiety was always there.

The deal that made me think

It wasn't my deal. It was a colleague's.

She's a great agent — organized, experienced, works hard. And she lost a deal two days before closing because a financing deadline slipped. Not because she was careless. Because she had twelve other things happening that week and nobody to catch it.

I watched her go through it and thought: that could be me next month. Probably would be me next month, if I kept running things the way I was running them.

That's when I stopped waiting for something to go wrong and started fixing the system.

What changed

I built DealDock because I needed it myself.

The first time I uploaded a purchase agreement and watched it read the contract, pull out every deadline, and tell me what needed to happen next — I actually teared up a little. Ridiculous, right? But that's how much mental space I'd been carrying for 40 deals a year.

Now when I get a new contract signed, I forward it to DealDock and it does the rest. Every deadline tracked. Every milestone flagged. Under contract emails sent automatically. Prelim title order drafted and ready to send in one click.

Last Sunday I had three active transactions. I didn't open my laptop once.

What I want for you

I'm not telling you this to sell you something. I'm telling you because I know exactly what your Sunday nights feel like — and I know you don't have to live like that.

If you're a solo agent running 20, 30, 40 deals a year without a TC, you're carrying more than any one person should. Not because you're bad at your job — because the job is genuinely too much for one spreadsheet and one brain.

DealDock was built by a real estate agent, for real estate agents. It's $79 a month. One deal pays for the whole year.

Your Sundays can be yours again.
